Since 2008, Square Root Studios has been a leader in innovative scenic design and fabrication, combining traditional theatrical and event technology with cutting edge building techniques to create beautiful and functional displays and special effects.  The long experience in all facets of the entertainment industries we bring means the client receives a customized solution to their projects, whether it be television or theater, retail or restaurant.  We specialize in difficult technological problems, and welcome any and all challenges.  Bring on the weirdness!

Located in the center of Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, in the basement of a refurbished 1850′s carriage house, Square Root’s shop is intended to handle any project, from drawing and design to the final finish.  Fully equipped for carpentry and metal work, as well scenic painting, rigging, electronics, and machine work, we can build anything.  Being underground has the advantage of allowing us to focus on providing the client with the best possible product, without any annoying distractions, like a view.
